Project Manager Ship Repairs


Your role and responsibilities:

As Project Manager, you are fully responsible from A to Z for maritime repair and maintenance projects. You work closely with the engineering team and manage both internal teams and external partners.

  • Responsible for projects from quotation phase through to delivery.

  • Coordinating and managing team coordinators (mechanical, welding and dock teams).

  • Managing and supervising subcontractors (e.g. divers, painters, specialised partners).

  • Daily presence on site (approx. 70%), combined with office-based work (approx. 30%).

  • Liaising with clients regarding scope, planning and progress.

  • Monitoring timing, quality, safety and budget.

  • Acting quickly and solution-oriented when technical or operational challenges arise.


Profile:

  • Bachelor’s degree in maritime studies, industrial sciences, electromechanics, shipbuilding or equivalent experience (engineering degree is a plus).

  • Several years of experience in a technical or maritime project environment.

  • Experience at sea? This role offers an ideal transition to a shore-based position.

  • Strong communication skills and natural leadership.

  • Good knowledge of Dutch and a basic knowledge of English and/or French.
