Project Manager Ship Repairs
Your role and responsibilities:
As Project Manager, you are fully responsible from A to Z for maritime repair and maintenance projects. You work closely with the engineering team and manage both internal teams and external partners.
Responsible for projects from quotation phase through to delivery.
Coordinating and managing team coordinators (mechanical, welding and dock teams).
Managing and supervising subcontractors (e.g. divers, painters, specialised partners).
Daily presence on site (approx. 70%), combined with office-based work (approx. 30%).
Liaising with clients regarding scope, planning and progress.
Monitoring timing, quality, safety and budget.
Acting quickly and solution-oriented when technical or operational challenges arise.
Profile:
Bachelor’s degree in maritime studies, industrial sciences, electromechanics, shipbuilding or equivalent experience (engineering degree is a plus).
Several years of experience in a technical or maritime project environment.
Experience at sea? This role offers an ideal transition to a shore-based position.
Strong communication skills and natural leadership.
Good knowledge of Dutch and a basic knowledge of English and/or French.
