Job description:

This position will support CNHI’s Harvesting Innovation concept engineering activities.
Prepare organize and execute innovation concept testing related to harvest process automation, productivity improvement and efficiency improvement of harvesting equipment, focusing mainly on combine harvesters. Assist in preparing the yearly field test plan, prepare concept prototype and test equipment, organize and assist in shipment of the units to and from the field. Significant travel to get performance and functional validation, plan and participate in the evaluation of concept systems in the field.. Communicate with the innovation team to coordinate the interrelated design and assure project completion. This position will report to the Combine Harvesting Innovation Manager
Primary Responsibilities:
Work as Harvesting Innovation team member by developing innovative, functional features and systems that address future Platform needs. An extensive amount of independent thinking and organization is required to solve practical challenges in the field.
Preparation, assembling and installation of concepts on the innovation test fleet
Assist in organizing, execution and managing test plan for proving out innovation concepts
Translate field findings (end of season communications) and practical experiences in the field in the concept review discussions.
Keep the innovation test fleet in good health (maintenance, repairs, ordering and installing parts etc..)
Desired profile:
The ideal candidate will have:
Bsc or equivalent through experience in Mechanical / Agricultural / Electrical Engineering
Hands on experience in agriculural machinery, maintenance and/or operation
Understanding farming operations and its challenges during harvest
Drivers license C(E)
The preferred candidate will have:
Excited to participate in preparation and testing concepts for harvesting equipment. Knowledge of one or more of the following domains : engines, gearboxes, hydraulics, electrics
Capability to work independently, likes challenges and is good in problem solving
Ability to interact easily in a team environment and with farmers/cumstomers.
Willingness to travel to world wide field locations for several weeks.
Enthousiasm for Agricultural Equipment, especially harvesting tasks.
Experience with off road machinery requirements and operations
Team player mind set with good communication skills in Dutch and English (German, French, Portugese are a plus)
