Cost Analyst
Who are we looking for :
Primary function:
As part of the DTV Team, the Cost Analyst supports all activities related to Product Cost calculation and tracking for both New and Current Products. This role interfaces with platforms, engineering, cost specialists and procurement to ensure proper process for identifying and controlling product cost through FCE availability, system level cost rollups and identifying production elements for Design to Value, Design to Cost and cost reduction projects. Support the cost manager in defining an early top-down cost goal per module based on customer value analysis and monitor the gap between the top-down goal and bottom-up costs.
Essential Responsibilities:
New Product - Develop and maintain cost forecast for GPD milestones, top-down cost analysis by system key, functional block or machine, BOM align to cost control during Design Release, ad-hoc cost analysis at system key core level (Design-to-Cost initiatives, ...), Interface development team with cost modeling team, input information into NPCT.
Current product - Define key models in KMS (or other systems), develop std to std comparison for tracking on an annual basis, provide current costs for key models with KMS or other systems, identify root causes for cost changes within a system key or functional block, provide forecast costs for key models, ensure BOM is aligned with cost control for ECO releases, complete catalog reviews to identify opportunities for cost reduction ideas, provide analysis for large/complex projects, across segments, across regions, liaise between development team and cost modeling team, enter information into NPCT.
Desired profile:
Level of Competence Required for Primary function:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business or related experience
Minimum 2-3 years of experience in Cost Management, Manufacturing or Engineering
Extensive knowledge of manufacturing processes, BOM management, System key level cost analysis
Company Processes & Systems Required knowledge on:
Experience using Cost Estimation Tools, especially Costimator (MTI) and aPriori
Experience using Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools, especially Teamcenter (Siemens) and Enovia (Dassault).
Qualifications pre-requisites:
Experience working with Agricultural, Construction or Automotive products.
Computer use of standard office software programs including Excel, PowerPoint, MS Teams, word processing, and email applications.
